About Me

Hi! I’m Kelly!

My earliest memories are in the kitchen. I would set up our family video camera and tape myself having an Iron Chef type of cookoff against myself and pretending I was the next Food Network star. I would build my dad mile-high ice cream sundaes and come up with the most absurd appetizers for our family before dinner. I would sit on a barstool at my grandma’s house and peel potatoes and watch as she turned nothing into something.

Going into college, I thought I was going to be the next big food scientist and making food for NASA or the next great flavor of pop tarts. After a while, I realized that I didn’t want to be in a lab making flavors in Petri dishes, I wanted to be making food for people I care about. For me, food is about bringing people together and so that’s why I started this little blog – to share and create memories from where ever you are.

My life revolves around food. In the fall, I still make my mom drive me to the apple orchard when I go home to get fresh cider and then make her pumpkin caramel before I leave. I am all about the food options at football games. I love indulging in the finest restaurants but I also love a good drive-thru pit stop.

Wallis and Franklin

When I’m not obsessing over food, I work in wonderful corporate America trying to make everything as efficient as possible. I am a cat mom to two black rescues, Franklin and Wallis. I like to spend time exploring trails, being on the water, traveling, and will always be down for a bonfire.

Welcome, pull up a seat, and let’s get into the food!
