an early summer reset
It’s not that I don’t want to blog, at times I just find the idea of sitting down at a computer to do more work exhausting. So instead, I’ve been out doing things. There’s something special about Minnesota in early June - Farmer’s markets are more plentiful, baby ducklings are figuring out how to glide across the lakes, and for some reason it’s unreasonably hot to start the month out.
There have also been my non-negoitables: 10k steps a day, at least one cooking video a week posted on Instagram, and apparently this is the summer I do a lot of yardwork (I don’t have a yard). While I’ve been enjoying new things for the sake of enjoying them, I do love accomplishing a task. I’m also learning to love just going out for fun or exploring a new museum or art fair.
A few photos from the last couple of months:
I don’t have a recipe or anything to share - I’ve been cooking a lot, and going out to eat to support the incredible food scene here in the Twin Cities. If you’re able, I’d encourage you to go out and support your favorite restaurant or try a new spot. I’m so lucky to live somewhere that’s so diverse and has a ton of food options, so I think I’ll try to highlight more of those adventures. There’s a lot of unknowns for the second half of this year, but enjoying each season as it comes and making the most of it.
